What Causes Heaviness In Left Ear?

Please Dr. I feel heaviness in my left ear for about 2 weeks. When I sleep on the left side of my head I feel better the next day.
At first, I took Amoxicillin tablets and I felt better but stopped taking them as I felt better.
What could be the cause and how should it be treated.
