What Causes Heavy Bleeding After Removing Implanon?

Hello, I recently had my implanon implant taken out (two days ago) because I had heavy bleeding constantly whilst I was on it (five months). The bleeding got lighter as soon as the implant was taken out. However this morning I woke up to EXTREMELY heavy bleeding which was bright red, almost orangey. Could there be something wrong?
