What Causes Heavy Bleeding After Taking Antibiotics?

Hi I have been on birth control qlaira for almost a year with no problems. I have had heavy breakthrough bleeding pretty much the same as my period a week earlier than my period should start. I was taking amoxcillin until Saturday and the period started Monday. Would the anti biotics have made my period come early?
