What Causes Heavy Bleeding After Taking Oral Contraceptive Pill?

I have PCOS and take OCP as a treatment. I m currently on the third day of my new pack of OCP, but I m still exhibiting light bleeding. Is there anyway to stop this? If I continue taking my pills with the bleeding persist until after my next menstruation? If I stop taking the pill will the bleeding stop or get heavier.
