What Causes Heavy Bleeding During Menstruation?

Hi I have been on the Ovra Evra patch for 4 months now this month I forgot to take off my patch on my off week so I just continued with putting on a new patch the week after I was supposed to have my period. I got my period on Sunday December 19th and now on December 28th I still have a bright red watery period and it`s not looking like it`s going to slow down at all. I took my evra patch off today to see if this will stop my period. I also can`t wear tampons this month I have been wearing them for 5 years but my last 2 periods when removing the tampons they have been extremely painful. I don`t know what to do I phoned telehealth but they still have not returned my call. I am scared on why i am still have bright red blood 11 days later when my period usually lasts 5 days with my second day of my menstrual cycle being heavy then slowing down the 3rd and 4th and the 5th day it`s gone. can you help me?
