What Causes Heavy Bleeding With Small Clots In Spite Of Progesterone?

I have hypothyroidism and celiacs disease. Also am endemic. Have taken iron infusions once a week for 6 weeks.for past 6 months my periods have rarely stopped. Heavy bleeding and passing small clots. Went to my gynecologist in November. He put me on progesterone. I take a capsule for 10 days each month and was told to come back in 3 months. Just started last dose today. Will take for 10 days and then make appt. with him. I teach school. Wear a tampon and pad everyday and today when I stood up after our reading group, blood came through my tampon, pad, and clothes an landed on the floor. After I changed clothes is isnt bleed for rest of the day, but am bleeding again now. Should I call my doctor now and see him instead of waitin 10 more days?
