What Causes Heavy Brown Discharge With Implant?

Im on my third implant I've had this on for around a year and half. I havent had periods at all or any kind of discharge apart from the first week or two of having the implant changed this morning ive had very heavy brown discharge with lots of clots and lower abdominal pain. ive never had any problems before with my implant.
