What Causes Heavy Period And Weakness While Had Elective Abortion?

My wife is currently on her period, and earlier today while feeding our 8 m.o. son she said that she started bleeding and by the time she could make it away from him blood was dripping down her leg.this was maybe 4 hrs. ago, now she is complaining of feeling weakness, cramps, and nausea, along with the heavy bleeding.also she underwent an elective abortion about 2 months ago.So my question is whould we just wait to see if she feels better and/or stronger or should she take something or seek medical attention?Thank you for your time and help!
