What Causes Heavy Periods With Blood Clots?

I have had my period since wednesday and i have been having huge blood clots bigger then a quarter and also have been having serve pain in my lower abdomen it hurts to the point i want to cry but i do not due to i do not want to let them see me cry in pain i am wondering of you could tell me what is wrong
