What Causes Heavy Periods With Cramps While On Contraceptive Pills?

im 20 years old and my period has been going on for two weeks now im a little concerned it started of heavy and had the odd stomach cramps and then it sopped for about a day and then suddenly i came back on some days heavy others light? im on the birth control pill and never had a period for 2weeks or been painful? im slightly worried
