What Causes Heavy Spotting With UTI Symptoms And Delayed Period?

Hi, I had had some (slightly heavy) spotting about two weeks ago which lasted about four days. Now I am two days late on my period. I am also fairly certain that I have a UTI. I noticed the burning and worsening of symptoms over the last three days. How could all of this be related??
