What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Postinor-2?

my boyfriend and i had sex on the last day of my period, took postinor 2 the following day now six days after taking the tablet i have been bleeding heavily for two days, could i be pregnant n having a miscarriage? or is it just a side effect of consuming the pill?
