What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Along With Foul Odour During Premenopause?

Hi Dr Manjunath, I m 50 years old and have had irgua periods and headaches for the last two years an hot flushes night sweats.. my GPsays I m perimenopausal. She s put me on 10g amitrypiline daily to help stop headaches and hot flushes. But I now have heavy bleeding with a foul odour...is the odour normal?
