What Causes Hiccups While Gasping And Diaphragm Spasms?

I gasp. if gets worse when I get nervous or upset. Sometimes I double gasp. It also sometimes turns into hiccups. I have a hyenia hernia and have diaphragm spasms at times. When I went to my dr they had turned into full blown hiccups so that s what he heard not the gasps and so that s what he treated. What could be causing this and what kind of dr should I see
