What Causes High Heart Rate While Lying Down?

yes my son just came in to my room and said he recognized his heart and was beating harder than normal. we did a rough count and looks like it is about 113 beats per minute. He was laying down when it happened. Reading a book in bed. he said it doesn t hurt. Is this something to be concerned about? It is 11:30pm in Dallas.
