What Causes Hoarse Sound In A Child After Accidental Intake Of Chalk?

Hi my 2 and a half year old daughter ate some chalk this morning and hasn't had much mind for food all day, she's now asleep , and coughing sounds like barking really hoarse , and I tried talking to her and she sounds hoarse talking too , do you think this is because of the chalk or another reason ? Thank you
