What Causes Hollow Sound In Ears After Clearing The Blockage?

Had blocked ear 3 weeks before Xmas, used ear drops twice a day for 4 days, leaked now and again and fluid smelt a bit nasty, leaking has stopped but now have squelching sound in ear a lot of the time if pressed and hollow sounding voice on occassions.
