What Causes Hot And Red Folds Of Skin In Legs Along With Itching?

I am over weight, but I keep myself clean and shower daily. I have noticed hot, red, places in the folds of skin in my legs ( and groin area), it sometimes smells like rotten meat and is painful and often itches as well. What is this? How can I prevent and/or treat it?
