What Causes Hot Flushes?

hello i stated to go through the menopause almost 2 years ago i stopped HRT after 6 months using a ladycare magnet now im starting to have terrible hot flushes can you explain why this is happining now thanks ive just turned 52 im 5'2 in height im over weight im on bloodpressure tablets.
