What Causes Hot Sensations In Shin,thigh And Knee Area?

About a week ago I started having this hot sensation in my let shin and now it seems to happen in my thigh just above the knee.I went to the doctor yesterday and she said he has no clue; that she has never heard of that. It s becoming very annoying.
