What Causes Increased Floater And Flash Of White Light In Eye?

just this eve noticed an increase in floater in my left eye, and a flash of white light at the upper border of vision when i make eye movements. very concerned , had lasik many yrs ago, pretty good results but some asitig left over, mostly in the r eye. know that i have cataracts developing, r greater than l. and have a terrible terrible fear of blindness.
