What Causes Increased Pulsing After Popping A Pimple On Neck?

Hi. Two days ago, I popped a pimple on the right side of my neck (top of the neck where the jawbone forms a curve to reach the ear, I now realize its wasn t a smart idea). Since then, I can sense the pulsing sensation and can visibly see the pulsing. (only on the top part of neck tho). I checked my pulse (although i don t know if I m doing it correctly, and I felt it pump 15 times in 15 seconds). Should I be worried or is it just paranoia? (If it helps, I m a 5 11 male weighing about 150 pounds)
