What Causes Indigestion, Fever And Whitish Stools?

I have been sick with the following symptoms, pain in the center of my back under the ribs becoming worse after eating, high fever, bad indigestion, and recently whitish stools. I have been eating and drinking very little because of the pain. I am seeing a doctor and had an upper GI which showed nothing. I am having an EGD later this week. So far no diagnosis. What do you think could be causing this? Also, my gallbladder has been removed.
