What Causes Infected Bartholin Cyst With Swelling Of The Vagina Lips?

I believe I have a bartholin cyst. I also believe it is infected. It is now the size of a golf ball and my right vagina lip is swollen...The cyst finally burst this morning but it smelled horrible and now it is more swollen..Do I have to go to the dr or is there a home remedy?
