What Causes Inflammation Of Wrist Veins Causing Knots?

What causes veins in the wrist to burst or leak? I do not take aspirin, but I do take naproxen for the inflammation of the veins in the wrist. I work where there is constant use of the hands. I get little knots on the veins in my right hand due to inflammation due to over use. If I take a few weeks off the knots go away. The doctor did say that those knots are not the kind that break free and go to the heart so that is good to know. Is there any thing I can due to stop this from happening.I am right handed so that is why the right hand is the one this is happening to.
