What Causes Intense Itching, Redness And Raw Skin In My Vagina?

i have a problem . right under my virgina my skin is red and raw looking. it does not itch much but from time to time its unbearable and wake me up in the middle of the night. the itching is intense. im scared becuase i am sexually active and i dont know what to do.
