What Causes Intense Stomach Cramp?

Hi, I am a 42 year old mother of two. This morning although feeling 100% normal I suddenly experienced an intense stomach cramp, followed immediately by a feeling that I was going to black out or vomit (neither of which I did), this passed into an intense heat moving upwards through my neck and finally my face felt like it was on fire. The whole incident took about 30 seconds. the cramp subsided pretty quickly but it took 30-40 mins for the heat to dissipate.
