What Causes Intense Throbbing Pain, Swelling And Bruising After Right Foot Injury?

Heavy object fell 4 onto right foot. Immediately had intense throbbing pain with swelling and bruising. 24 hours later still swelling and bruising and sinsitive to the touch. I can walk with a limp but it is very painful. Does this warrant a trip to the dr? I am also 25 weeks pregnant so X-Ray isn t really and option.
