What Causes Intermittent Bleeding Between Periods And Slight Abdominal Pain?

I had sexual intercourse on the last day of my period. There was no sign of blood during that day. My period supposedly ended on Thursday of last week, but today it seems to have reappeared and I have little abdominal pain. What does this actually mean?
