What Causes Intermittent Bleeding With White Discharge During Menstruation?

this month my period is strange. I am having a mixture of white discharge with my period and seemingly its not even flowing constantly. It starts and stops various times during the day and many time remains stopped for more than half a day. i hope alls well as im trying to conceive!
