What Causes Intermittent Numbness In Face And Hand?

My husband is 55. he has recently experienced numbness on the right side of his face and his right hand. it has happened about three ..four times now, it will last about 5 to 10 minutes. he said he also gets a drunk feeling. what can u tell me.
