What Causes Intermittent Pain In Buttocks?

Should I be concerned that I get pain in my butt that come every now and then? They always come with no warning and no pain in between. it s a sharp pain that feels like a mix between period cramps and the pain when you haven t pooped in a long time. They last anywhere between 30 seconds to 30 minutes and when they come I can t move because of the pain but I feel a need to poop
