What Causes Intermittent Pain On Lower Right Side While Having Redundant Colon?

I have had intermittent pain on lower right side. Used to come every 5 days for over the past 2 years, now I get it almost every day. If I lay on a heating pad the pain will go away. could this be because I have a redundant colon. Had colonoscopy in 2012.
