Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I randomly have heart palpitations. They occur maybe once a week for the past year. It only lasts a few seconds. They occur at random times; while I'm walking, sitting, talking, participating in physical activities etc. I just had another heart palpitation about 10 minutes ago, so i just started doing some research on them online. It seems the only symptom of heart palpitations that i have is stress. I do not consume things like coffee, redbull, or any other type of energy drink/ stimulant. I have not participated in much physical activity the past 9 months.Basically, I'm wondering if this is a problem i need to discuss with my parents/ if i should go see a doctor. I also would like to know if having these heart palpitations is a problem i need to worry about. Thank you.
