What Causes Intermittent Stinging Pain In Chest When Treating GERD?

i have stinging pain on and off in the center of chest..i do have a history of GERD. also, yesterday my chest was feeling a little pain on the left side. last week after shoveling snow i felt my heartbeat speed up but it felt awkward and not like when working out. i am 26 year old bodybuilder.
