What Causes Irregular And Painful Periods?

Doctor,
I'm 28 years old and a have irregular and very painful periods. I got my last periods on the 31st of March,2011 and failed to get it this month though there was a lot of pain during the menstrual week. While i went for a check up at the GYNO Clinic i was subjected to a Ultrasound scan which revealed that i had a thick endometrium which suggested that I have endometriosis. I was also asked to take thyroid tests and prolactin tests for which my TSH was 6.98 mlU/L and prolactin was 25.4 ng/ml.I'm also under a course of anti-depressants this is for your reference. Also the tests stated that my Microsomal Antibody is 87.8 U/mL and my Thyroglobulin Antibody is 44.4 U/mL. The doctor has suggested that I undergo a diagnostic laproscopy to treat the endomeriosis. My medical history includes a treatment for auto immune thyroditis for a while. Kindly suggest how do i go about this.
