What Causes Irregular Menstruation And Lactation?

My mom is 45 years old and she suddenly started lactating few days back. She says her breasts feel heavy and itchy. So she tries to squeeze them. That is when she lactates. She has irregular menstrual cycle and a diabetic patient too. Is there anything she should be worried about?
