What Causes Irregular Menstruation?

hi I'm 46 and I haven't had a period in 3 months not even spotting and have frequent cramping. My periods have always been very normal and lasting 5 to 7 days and the only time I have gone without a period was during my pregnancies. an ultrasound showed a calcified spot in my uterus. My question is could this be something more?
