What Causes Irregular Menstruation?

Hello. I had my cycle for 6 days on January 4-10th,2015. It came back down on January 25th and it hasn t stopped. I didn t have my cycle from October to December of last year. Is my cycle trying to catch up or is it something bigger? I think it s my hormones.
