What Causes Irregular Periods Post Removal Of Mirena Coil?

Hello I am karlee my question is i had the mirena removed march 6th and i had a period then, my doctor said my cycles and things would go back to normal but i am now 3 days late me and my husband want a baby but could the mirena have made problems with my cycle and or did it just make it irregular cycle? and sould me and my husband keep trying to concieve or wait till i get a period?
