What Causes Irregular Periods?

Dear Doctor, i have had only 7 periods in 3 years. i am 250 pounds, but i became pregnant with my first child at this weight and had regular periods. i had a miscarage 3 1/2 years ago and i had to have a DNC since then i have never been regular since.
