What Causes Irregularity Of Periods After Taking Contraceptives?

i had sex on d 14th of dec. I took a contraceptive(postinor 2) I was supposed to hv my period on the 20th of dec but then my menstruation is 4 days late and this is my first time of experiencing irregular menstruation. But then I did pregnancy test n it was negative.
