What Causes Irregularity Of Periods After Weight Gain?

I have always had regular periods, but once I started gaining weight, I stopped getting them. I weight over 300 lbs and I m 5 11 Do you think this is why I stopped having them? And what do you suggest I do to help myself and my husband conceive?Thank you in advance
