What Causes Irritation And Itching In Between The Buttocks?

So, I just got out of the shower, and my buttcrack (for lack of a better term) (area just below low back, and above anus) was extremely irritated and itching. I did use a new scented body wash, as well as a new shower puff, and I haven't showered in a couple day. Upon inspection, I noticed a dark freckle around my anus. I slightly feel like I've seen it before, and I'm just paranoid. But what could it be...?
