What Causes Irritation In Throat Along With Cough Despite Taking Treatment?

Hi, I went to see my doctor on Thursday. she prescribed antibiotics, which I am taking twice a day. by Friday afternoon I was feeling the effects of medicine. which was almost no throat pain. but , now Sunday afternoon.. my throat is scratchy again, im coughing again and it hurts again. what should I do?
