What Causes Itchiness And Bleeding In Vagina During Intercourse?

hi i am 30 yrs of age...i just recently had sexual intercourse with my bf for the 1st after 6-7 yrs...though he wasn't able to put his penis in b/c it was very painful for me...so he stopped...since then....i am having some irritation, itchiness, and very little bleeding...he tried using the k y jelly lubricant...but that also didn't help...i wanted to know whether this is this normal? or is this some type of a disease?...
