What Causes Itching After Taking Clyndomycin?

I am presently taking Clyndomycin for a dental infection i have had hives from taking this in the past but the infection is bad and i am allergic to everything else ?? i have started the meds at noon took another dose at 6 feeling itchy and a few pimples can i take benadryl with this and keep taking the clyndomicyn
