What Causes Itching Along With Red Rings Around Eyes?

I used a stem cell serum and then topped it off with an eye balm. My eyes were itchy and red rings like a sunburn in a few hours. I washed it off and by the morning I was swollen on both eyes as if I was in a boxing match. This was yesterday at about 5am and as of today I ve been taking Benadryl using hydrocortisone and icing. But the swelling is still there and just very little change. How long does this type of swelling take and is there anything else I should be doing? Thank you!
