What Causes Itching And Dark Patches On Shoulder Blade?

I have had an itch on my shoulder blade for 3 years (not all the time and not severe, mainly just before going to bed and in the morning) There is a dark patch of skin there, about 50 cms across, not raised or red. Looks like an old bruise. I dont itch enough to brusie. Thank you
