What Causes Itching And Discomfort In The Ear Post Treatment For Earache?

I recently got Pharyngitis and a day after going to Dr. My ear started to hurt. I took the antibiotics that were prescribed and the pain went away. Now my ear feels like there is pressure and it itches on the inside. What does this mean and what should I do?
